Raymundo Rodriguez, real name Raymond Isaacs was born and raised in south London, England.
He started collecting records in a serious way as a teenager.
His formative years were spent absorbing various styles of music from Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys to Depeche Mode and Roxy music.
He got involved in the London electronic music scene at the end of the 90’s after leaving his day job as a recruitment consultant.
He soon started gaining recognition for his technical ability and music selections, and it wasn’t long before He started making regular appearances at all the main London venues like The Cross, The Key, Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, Pacha London, Matter and Fabric.
Radio was the next step in his progression, after gaining a slot on pirate radio station House fm, He then went on to land a prime time Saturday night show on Ministry of sound radio, followed by a show which was syndicated worldwide on stations like Radio FG and Ibiza Global Radio via His Defected Radio show on UK national radio station Galaxy fm.
Having become a prominent Radio host, He began to gain more international recognition, with dj slots across Central Europe including Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, France, Austria, Holland, Russia, st Petersburg, Bosnia, Berlin and many more, notably making appearances at Berlin’s legendary Bar 25 and subsequently playing more sets when it transformed into its later incarnation Katerholzig.
Alongside his domestic and international schedule He has also held multiple club residencies, He was a resident for London’s original Italian Sunday party Vertigo at the Cross playing alongside the likes of Ricky Montinari, DJ Ralf and Alex Neri as well as international talent like Dj Harvey and Dj Cosmo, He was weekly resident at the famous Monday morning lgbtq after hours event Orange at Club Colloseum in Vauxhall.
He also spent a year traveling to Rome to play at Room 26 in its opening year as their Friday night weekly resident. In recent times He is mostly known for his residency for The Jaded London event brand where he has been a weekly resident since 2004.
The event has been held at various venues including The Egg, AKA/The End, Cable, plus various warehouse spaces across the capital and in cities like Paris and Berlin, and most recently at Corsica studios in Elephant and Castle. Guests over the years have included legends such as Sandwell District, Jerome Sydenham, Lucy, Ryan Elliott, Oliver Deutschmann, Adam Breyer, Speedy j, Chris Liebing, Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin.
Jaded is also well known for introducing new era talent to the London Sunday rave scene, such as VTSS, Paula Temple, Phase Fatale, I Hate Models, Dax J, Tommy Four Seven, Rebekah, SNTS, The Horrorist, Schwefelgelb and many more.
In 2009 He took more of an event management role, co promoting the Jaded weekly events and one off warehouse parties alongside his wife and business partner Krista.
Currently the duo focus more on the Jaded London music promotion channels and sub brand/record label and 12 hour party series Stroberload.
Ray is also heavily involved in the music blog/promotions platform London Techno.
This mix was recorded at Corsica Studios and features music he has been promoting as well as forthcoming tracks on the Stroberload record label and stand out tracks that he has received over the past few months.
